Clara Couric Batchelor,
Founder and Principal
Ms. Batchelor received her M.L.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Garden Design, Design New England, Great Backyards, and on the television shows Restore America with Bob Vila, Bob Vila’s Home Again, and People, Places, Plants. Ms. Batchelor has received numerous awards for her projects, including the BSLA Merit Award for the Harriet Tubman Park in Boston’s South End and the Massachusetts Historical Commission Preservation Award for the Warren House in Newton, MA. She has lectured at the New York Botanic Garden and Smith College, and has taught at Harvard Graduate School of Design’s Evening Courses for Professional Development.
Denis J. Chagnon, Principal
Mr. Chagnon serves as project manager for public and private projects. He is involved with all phases of the design process, from planning through design development to construction administration. Selected projects with CBA include Wayside Commons in Burlington, MA; Mothers Rest and Gibbons Playgrounds and Almont Park in Boston; John Ruiz, Box District, Kayem, and Island End Parks in Chelsea, MA; and the Wayland Town Center development. Mr. Chagnon was also the project landscape architect for several large-scale land-use planning projects for CBA. He is a graduate of the Univ. of Pennsylvania and of Cornell, and is a registered Landscape Architect in Massachusetts.
